This was a very busy week over here! Halloween came with so much excitement for our little one. He was so excited to go trick a treating even if here in Oz it’s not really a thing. But we got his class mates together and they had a blast!

Friday night the food market is open again for summer so we had dinner in the city and Luke just loved all the street performers. We managed also to go to the dog beach on Saturday which Ned the dog and Luke really loved, after a long winter.

Sunday was Proggie’s grandma 89th birthday. She managed to make a huge dinner for 13 people. It was a lovely evening. The family got her and grandad a cruise holiday in the Queen Marry 2 for 21 days!! She was speechless, I was worried she was going to have a heart attack when she opened her ticket! But all went well and I’m truly happy that she can go to this wonderful adventure specially at her age!

It was lovely weekend and now I am all packed up to go to Bali tomorrow morning!!! Yes you heard it right! I’m off with two girlfriends, no hubbies or kids!!! I’m am so excited that I don’t think I will sleep tonight. So will post more this week from Bali. Selamat Tinggal!

So I have been knitting up a storm around here!! Specially when it’s for new babies who are coming into the world from people who are so very special to you. My childhood best friend is having a baby boy, this news has warmed my heart so much lately. I usually now use this happy news when I read or see some horrible news or when you just feel a bit down. I just think about my wonderful friend with her swollen belly and faith in humanity is restored for a little while. I don’t know about you but lately I need that safety line to keep things a little lighter.

I walked my son from school today and how pretty is nature during spring, our days are warming up and so many pretty flowers around. While I was on the way to his school there was a little patch of grass that was flowering and it just looked so beautiful all fluffy and swinging on the wind.

The pattern for this little hat and baby sac cocoon is here.

Wine Country and lots of rain

Oh how I love the country but most of all how I love wine country. So hubbies second cousin’s son, who lives in Margaret River, had his first birthday so we decided to go down for a visit and a mini break for us three.
We left last Friday and had one day of a bit if sun and the rest of the four days we stayed down south it rained and rained and it rained some more. We got tickets to see Eskimo Joe live from my brother in law who had do cancel his trip down south. That was a great kids free night of dancing and very good wine in a cosy pub.

After that night it just did not stop raining, good thing I took my sewing machine and another knitting project that I am working on with down south. Managed to finish the stripy boarder of my quilt and also work on how to add the sleeves into Luke’s knitted cardigan. My husband was going up the walls with boredom and Luke too. But at least hubby got a chance to spend some time with his dad who is battling cancer.

We managed just to go and do some fun stuff the day before we left because the rain eased a bit. We had a great lunch in this small cottage in the middle of the forest and there I had the best date pudding of my life. We also managed to visit the silk farm and the reptile park which were indoors. Also we managed to squeeze in the chocolate factory, which was Luke’s favourite part of the day. Got some amazing cocoa powder there for baking.

We headed back home on Wednesday and brought the awful rain with us back to Perth. We had finally a bit if sun this afternoon, we headed to the park with Ned the dog so we all could soak up the sun for a little while. The rain is back while I write this and according to the weather news it’s here to stay another week!!! Hope u guys enjoy the pictures and hope that where ever you are it’s sunny and warm.
